The Shutterbug
Out shooting everything, working the settings, enjoying it enormously. No particular picture in mind.Decide what you are looking for before you go out.
In short
Shutterbugs enjoy AI. You try it on lots of things, you're comfortable with the tools, and you have fun finding out what they can do. What's missing is a clear aim. You often start with the tool before you know what you want from it.
Where you shine
- You're comfortable with the tools. You use them without getting stuck.
- You try AI on many kinds of tasks. You're happy to see what it can do.
- You keep going when it goes wrong. You try again a different way.
- Your interest spreads. People around you often get curious because you are.
Where it trips you up
You tend to open the tool first and decide what you want later. So you get a lot of output, and much of it goes nowhere.
You also tend to use what AI gives you without much checking, because the next idea is already waiting.
The risk. Busy work that doesn't add up. There's a lot of trying, and little that's finished and checked. This matters most where the result has to be right and done on purpose, such as client work, design work done to a brief, reports, proposals and anything with numbers.
You in a team
You're often the first to try something new, and you make AI feel less scary for others.
You pair well with someone whose judgment leads, like The Eye or The Catcher. They help you choose what's worth doing, and you help them get comfortable with the tools.
How to level up
Keep the fun. Add an aim.
- Before you open the tool, write in one line what you want and who it's for.
- This week, finish one thing. Take it from first try to checked and sent.
- Before you use an answer, check one fact against where it came from.
- After each session, ask yourself: what did I get that I'll actually use?
People with this profile often become the ones who get a team excited about AI. Ask yourself:
- Do you often open AI before you know what you want?
- Do you have more half-done experiments than finished work?
- Would one line of aim change what you ask for?
If yes, add an aim and a quick check, and you'll soon be a Composer: someone building judgment and AI skill together.
